Maisie Peters tour of New Zealand

Thursday 27 October 2022

Frontier Touring is thrilled to announce the debut Australian and New Zealand headline tour of one of the UK’s hottest rising talents: Maisie Peters. The prodigious 21-year-old will hit our shores in February 2023, set to deliver an electrifying performance at 2 intimate headline shows. What’s more, Peters’ is also revealed today as special guest on Ed Sheeran’s upcoming stadium + - = ÷ x Tour (pronounced ‘The Mathematics Tour’). Peters’ recently completed 54 shows with Sheeran in the UK / EU, with five more dates confirmed for North America in 2023.

With her witty and observational style, the West Sussex-born star has earned a whopping 845 million streams to date worldwide, 37 million of those in Australia (her fifth largest streaming territory). It’s an impressive start for the arresting singer and songwriter, who began writing tracks at just 12-years-old, was busking on the streets on Brighton by 2017, before headlining UK venues such as Shepherd’s Bush Empire a mere two years later.

Already in 2022, Peters has joined a star-studded line-up of guests including Billie Eilish during a London taping of “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (watch here), and sold out famed London venue O2 Academy Brixton in just under an hour.

Tickets for Peter’s headline shows go on sale Wednesday 2 November (2pm NZDT) via frontiertouring.com/maisiepeters. Frontier Members can access the Members’ Presale, which starts Monday 31 October (2pm NZDT), see website for more info.

Maisie Peters’ latest single, the recently released ‘Not Another Rockstar’, was immediately added to NOVA National Nights and marks her hottest track on radio to date. It follows on from a series of fan-focused released which dropped mid-year: ‘Cate’s Brother’, ‘Blonde’ and ‘Good Enough’ all saw Peters exploring different stages of relationships with her intimate but typically relatable tact. “I wrote ‘Not Another Rockstar’ about my very debatable track record with men,” says Peters of the single. “The song aims to make fun at me and my decisions and them and their guitars … I hope everyone comes out of this song realising the true rockstar was in fact me. Obviously. No longer the rockstar’s girlfriend, we are the whole rockstar these days, girls.”

Currently working on the follow up to her acclaimed UK #2 debut album You Signed Up For This, Peters’ is signed to Sheeran’s Gingerbread Records label. Peters’ innate gift for storytelling, relatable, diary-entry songs have seen the likes of Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers and Sam Smith calling themselves fans, joining millions of others around the globe who’re quickly discovering Maisie Peters is one of a kind and rising fast!

Don’t miss these special shows, it may be your only chance to see the singer in venues this size. Fall in love with Maisie Peters, touring New Zealand in February 2023!
