The Cuban Groove invites you to a
very special Salsa Party
on Friday 25 Nov to celebrate 20 years of Cuban Salsa in Aotearoa. Enjoy an incredible night with live Cuban music from Ke Lo Ke, featuring eight of New Zealand's finest Latin and Jazz musicians.
Put your dancing shoes on 'cause you won’t be able to keep still! Drawing on beautiful Cuban Salsa, Timba, Son, Cha-Cha, Mambo, Rumba and Afro-Cuban Jazz, Ke lo Ke will transport you to the streets of Havana, accompanied by DJs Neat and Vivio, dance performances, a pop-up bar, and plenty of dancing, including 'follow me' and Rueda.
And, if you're not a dancer, just sit back and enjoy the show with a wine, beer or Cuba Libre and some delicious tapas.
KE LO KE
The 8-piece band is a melting pot of talented musicians from around the world who are well known on the New Zealand music and dance circuit, having performed in Havana Groove, Calle Latina, Son de Cuba, Saoco Latino, Ashé Cuba. C-26, along with jazz ensembles like Goldsmith Baynes and Kevin Field Band. They are:

— Vocals and percussion: MARCELO VALENCIA STUARDO (Chile)

— Bass and vocals: ANGEL MANUEL GUILARTE MEDINA (Cuba)
— Percussion and vocals: RAFAEL FERRER NOEL (Cuba)
— Percussion — MIKEY TRUJILLO (Peru)
