Oscar & Otto
Catherine MacLoughlin & Hamish Carter have been involved in the Tauranga food scene for almost 20 years. They first set up Alimento back in 2002 and then went on to concentrate their efforts on their catering company Hereford Kitchen.
But they missed the daily contacts with their customers and the loyal community support and thus the desire to establish a daily cafe & restaurant was born.
Both Oscar & Otto are relaxed eateries serving fresh and inventive menus. Otto is a light bright modern eatery, Scandinavian in design and that is reflected in the food it delivers.
Oscar on the other hand is a restaurant & wine bar that oozes character & atmosphere. Specialising in social encounters and sharing plates.
The couple enjoy looking after everyone who walks through their doors, making them feel welcomed & relaxed, that is the reason why we are here.
